About Ben Franks:
Ben grew up in the Greater Boston area where he attended local prep schools, thrived in his academic subjects and enjoyed playing sports. Hockey tops Ben’s list of sports both as a player and spectator: Go Bruins!
After high school, Ben did his undergraduate work at Babson College where he graduated Summa Cum Laude a year early. During his time at Babson College, Ben concentrated on Entrepreneurship and Accounting while also being an active member of the campus community. The highlight of his extracurriculars was leading the Babson Yoga Club. Under Ben’s Presidency, the Babson Yoga Club doubled in size surpassing 600 members, offered free yoga classes 6 days of the week and was voted Best Club on campus.
Post College, Ben now runs a water management company that works with hotels, apartments, universities and professional athletic teams such as the Boston Celtics. When Ben is not working, he tutors. Beyond work and tutoring, Ben enjoys exercising, exploring the outdoors, and catching up with friends.

Why Tutor?
I love learning and being a part of academia. After a lifetime of being in school, I felt like something was missing post-grad. Running a water management company is challenging and full of learning but not the same as the academic learning that I had become so accustomed to over the past 18 or so years. My family and friends knew of my academic success so here and there individuals would reach out to me for tutoring help. I always enjoyed tutoring but didn’t realize how much I loved it until I was graduated and done with school. After a couple months of this organic growth, I was hooked into helping others learn, grow and succeed in the academic world and beyond. The business plan unintentionally fell into place, I have a passion for learning and a great understanding of small businesses from my time at Babson college. I look forward to continuing to grow Modern Tutor, help kids succeed with their academics and facilitate parents relationships and expectations of their children.
